Ask Your Florist For “Get Well Flowers”
The Get Well Soon Flowers
When you send flowers to someone in hospital, it is helpful for the florist, if you provide the patient’s name, (people are usually admitted to hospital in their real name, not a nick name or shortened version of their first name), ward number or room number if possible.
As the stay in hospital these days can be shorter than a few years ago, it is a good idea to give the florist the home address for the patient as the hospitals cannot give that information to the couriers.
Flowers for hospitals should be in a container in floral foam so there will be no need for a vase to be supplied by the hospital, some hospitals don’t have a supply of vases.
Flowers are known to cheer up, brighten up and help with the recovery of someone who is not feeling very well. They bring a smile to everyone’s face.
Don’t forget someone at home who is not well, a beautiful arrangement of flowers will cheer them up so much and let them know someone is thinking of them.
Flowers are a great spirit lifter, so if you know someone who is a bit down or sad, then send them some flowers and make their day.
If someone is unable to receive flowers, they may be in intensive care, a balloon bouquet is a good substitute or a basket of fruit. Ask the florist to check with the hospital if these would be acceptable.
Sometimes a pamper pack in a basket of flowers is just what the “doctor” ordered. There are many things you can send, your florist will be able to give you some suggestions.
Balloons are great for children, plus a box of things to do including puzzle books, coloring books, coloring pencils, cut-out dolls for little girls, a dress –up doll and some clothes, toy cars or figurines for little boys. Let the florist know the age of the child and she will be able to help you.
For a male, his interests could be cars, weight lifting, collectables, magazines about his favorite hobby would be very acceptable.
The range is wide, so let your florist help you with suggestions and you will help someone Get Well Soon.
